We have tried to compare values of gradients with distance from a growth axis (spredinga), having chosen some position of this axis. Repernaja the axis is spent through volcanic zone Rejkjanes - Laungjekudl (in southwest Iceland), and then moves to east zone located in northeast Iceland. In northern Iceland position less clear. The first measurements of a thermal stream in east Iceland distances rather low values; it has forced to assume, that the main axial zone proceeds directly to the north from zone Rejkjanes - Laungjekudl. When values of a gradient in east Iceland became more as a whole they have appeared above, and the conclusion from this has been drawn, that the bark of this area was formed in the modern axial zone which is passing through northeast Iceland. It will be co-ordinated with the recent radiological definitions of age spent in east Iceland. On this basis we have spent repernuju an axis in northern Iceland along a modern active zone.
Under the assumption, drift is directed on the West-northwest, on an azimuth 285 °, according to the calculated position of a pole of rotation of plates. For comparison the theoretical curves based on modelling calculation akkretsii of a bark for the Icelandic piece of the median-Atlantic ridge (Palmason, the neopublished materials) are shown. For the distances exceeding 100 km, theoretical curves coincide with the results resulted in work while is closer to an axis at various assumptions of the mechanism of escalating of a bark different curves turn out.
