Explosive tectonics and a thermal field evropy. The Mediterranean
you are: Explosive tectonics and a thermal field evropy
The Mediterranean. The tectonic structure of Southern Europe and Mediterranean sea is defined by borders of plates and microplates: African, European, Egejsky, Anatolijsky, Apulijsky and Black Sea.
The Modern field of pressure of this region is studied by means of the decision of planes of ruptures. Ritsema divides region on two parts as tectonic development: in one of them the compression mode, in another - a stretching mode prevails.
The Advanced zone of arch Ellinid, the Alpes, area glubokofokusnyh earthquakes in East Carpathians, and also Northern Atlas concern the first type; east Algeria, the Alboransky sea, the Apennines and Aegean sea with the Southern Balkans and Western Anatoliej - to the second type. Intermediate and glubokofokusnye earthquakes (in Tyrrhenian sea, along arch Ellinid, in the south of Spain, in the Alboransky sea) clearly show, that on different depths orientation of fields of pressure can be various. In areas glubokofokusnyh earthquakes: Egejsky, Pannonsky, Tirrensky and Alboransky - in earth crust the stretching is usually marked.
