The general remarks on character of distribution of a thermal stream
Among data about a thermal stream there are not corrected values, partially and completely corrected, but there is no confidence, whether really some values have undergone to influence of any deforming factors. Because of it it is very difficult to solve, as it is necessary to make a card: on corrected or on not corrected values, whether to select only not corrected values which part is obviously deformed by strong influence of local factors, or to consider all values together. We have accepted an intermediate way: built a card on values, to which amendments only on local influences (obvious or caused by the geographical and geological reasons), and on values, free from distortions have been made. Thus, following data have been used:
On lakes of Northern Italy - values to which amendments only on a local relief and osadkonakoplenie are made.
In Romagna - nabljudennye values.
In northern Tuscany - the values received near to a coastal line with amendments on influence of the sea; other values - without amendments.
In the Bradansky deflection and in Calabria - nabljudennye values.
In Sicily - the values received on a volcano Etna, with amendments on a relief, other values without amendments.
Data on the peninsula Gargano, strongly deformed by local factors, were not considered.
Despite separation of data, the scheme of distribution of a thermal stream on Apenninsky peninsula is drawn very accurately. It is not absolutely clear in Northern Italy for which there are only the values measured in lakes; on these values it is allocated shirotnoe a direction of structures of a thermal field, but it is better for considering together with features of a thermal field of the Alpes (see L.Ribaha and P.Finka's article in this book).
Isolines go in parallel the Apennines up to Calabria and northern Sicily. For the areas gravitating to Tyrrhenian sea, high values of a thermal stream with two maxima are characteristic: over geothermal fields Larderello - Monte-Amiata and in Tyrrhenian sea whereas on the Adriatic party lower values are observed. In a southern part of Adriatic sea and, maybe, in Apulia in connection with that, it is probable, that on a surface there lie down karbonatnye breeds, the thermal stream has normal values.
Hence, the field of a thermal stream on Apenninsky peninsula is characterised sharply expressed shirotnym by a horizontal gradient, perpendicular the Apenninsky mountain chain.
